Sony Music's "next dimensional idol project" UniteUp! has officially announced that the TV anime UniteUp! will be getting a second season. This news was revealed during the "sMiLea LIVE -Unite with You-" concert, which marked the project's first live event.

The first season of the series premiered in Japan on January 7 and was available worldwide via the streaming platform Crunchyroll.

The series follows the story of Akira Kiyose, a high school student with a passion for singing. His life takes a dramatic turn when his songs, which he uploads under the name "KIKUNOYU" on a video-sharing platform, catch the attention of the entertainment agency "sMiLea Production." The agency, founded by the legendary idol duo "Anela" after their sudden retirement, specializes in nurturing aspiring idols. Together with two other scouted individuals, Banri Naoe and Chihiro Isuzugawa, Akira forms a group and embarks on their journey toward their idol debut.
