On the official website of the new anime Urusei Yatsura, it was announced that the series will air on Japanese television on October 13. This new Urusei Yatsura anime will consist of a total of 46 episodes in four parts. The first two episodes will be broadcast continuously starting from the series premiere date.

David Production is behind the animated production of the series, which has previously adapted other manga classics like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Captain Tsubasa.
