Urusei Yatsura - Episode 29

In Episode 29 of Urusei Yatsura, the story begins with a strange incident involving a kotatsu. This particular kotatsu, purchased by the giant cat at a remarkably low price, becomes the center of attention when it displays a strong aversion to being covered with a blanket, much to Lum's dismay during her Othello victory over Ataru. The discovery of the Mendou family crest on the kotatsu leads Shuutarou to realize that the kotatsu's odd behavior stems from being made of wood from a unique South Pole cedar tree, known for its dislike of heat.

The story progresses as the giant cat tirelessly attempts to tame the stubborn kotatsu, culminating in a humorous truce where the kotatsu is transformed into a sled, allowing Neko and Lum to enjoy fun rides together, resolving their dilemma in an unconventional yet satisfying manner.

Meanwhile, the episode introduces a quirky subplot involving a cow with the unusual habit of getting its hands dirty, a behavior that leads to an unexpected injury for Lum.
