Shinobu experiences emotional turmoil over the potential loss of Inaba but is soon relieved when Inaba joins them for tea and faces only minor consequences for his actions.

The episode ends with a sense of fulfillment and optimism for Ataru and Lum, who now understand that a shared, fulfilling future is within the realm of possibility.
