Urusei Yatsura - Episode 37

In the first part, Tobimaro Mishima talks with his sister Asuka at the family estate about appropriate boundaries between relatives. Despite his explanation, Asuka reaffirms her affection for him. Their mother proposes a solution meant to help Asuka overcome the misunderstanding. Later, Asuka is seen at a baseball game at Tomobiki High School. In a flashback, her mother instructs her to deliver an item to Mendo, though Asuka has no interest in other men.

Asuka's attempt to find Mendo at school leads to chaos when she accidentally displays her strength, frightens several students, and triggers a chase involving the main characters Mendo, Ataru, and Lum. After a series of mishaps, Asuka hands the item to Mendo and reveals that her mother asked her to do so to help her overcome her fear of men. Asuka hides with Lum and briefly interacts with Ryonosuke, causing further confusion about gender and identity.

The second segment shifts to a plot where Asuka's mother arranges a date for Asuka with Mendo to help her confront her fears. Despite the preparations and disguises intended to help Asuka overcome her anxieties, the date is disrupted by misunderstandings, particularly between Ataru and Mendo's sister Ryoko.

Throughout the episode, Asuka's misinterpretations and the chaotic interactions between the characters drive the narrative forward and set the stage for further developments in the series.
