The anime production Vigilante - Boku no Hīrō Akademia ILLEGALS (English: Vigilante - My Hero Academia: Illegals) is receiving a second season. New illustrations of the main characters were presented at the Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair 2025.
The plot of the series, which functions as an official spin-off story of the main work My Hero Academia by Kōhei Horikoshi, focuses on the protagonist Kōichi Haimawaki. Although he has given up his dream of becoming a hero, the unassuming student becomes involved in the activities of self-proclaimed vigilantes who operate outside the law.
The published depictions show the characters Kōichi Haimawaki, Pop Step and Knuckleduster. The voice actors of the main roles are taken over by Shūichirō Umeda (as Kōichi Haimawaki), Ikumi Hasegawa (as Pop Step) and Yasuhiro Mamiya (as Knuckleduster).
Further details about the production are to be announced at a later date.
