"Vigilante: My Hero Academia ILLEGALS" - TV anime starts in April 2025

The TV anime "Vigilante: My Hero Academia ILLEGALS," an official spin-off of the popular series "My Hero Academia," has revealed a teaser visual, promo video, and main cast. The series will air on TOKYO MX, BS Nittere, and Yomiuri TV starting April 7.

The original work, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, was serialized on Shonen Jump+ from 2017 to 2022. The story is set several years before the main series and explores the world of illegal heroes, known as "Vigilantes," who operate in the shadows of official heroes. These individuals, often unrecognized, risk their lives to protect others.

At the center is the protagonist Koichi Haimawari, an ordinary university student who once dreamed of becoming a hero but had to give up that path. By his side are:

- Pop☆Step, a self-proclaimed idol who accompanies Koichi in his activities.

- Knuckleduster, a seasoned fighter who inspires Koichi to become a Vigilante.

The promo video showcases the meeting of the three characters as well as action-packed scenes of their collaboration.
