The TV anime "Villainess Level 99: I'm a Hidden Boss but Not the Demon Lord" will begin airing on January 9, 2024. Along with this announcement, a new image and the second promotional video have been released.

The video showcases Yumiela's abilities in handling dark magic and her interactions with other characters, including Alicia Enlight, the heroine of the game. The opening theme "LOVE or HATE?" by Mayu Maeshima can also be heard in the video.

Additionally, Rina Hidaka has been announced as the voice of Elenora Hillrose, the daughter of the only ducal family in the Kingdom of Balshine. Elenora is hopelessly in love with the second prince, Edwin Balshine, and keeps a close eye on any women who approach him.

The story of "Villainess Level 99" begins with the protagonist, who is reborn as Yumiela, discovering that she is a powerful hidden boss who appears in the game after defeating the Demon Lord. Yumiela decides to live an inconspicuous life to avoid interfering with the game's story but accidentally raises her level to 99, leading to suspicions that she might be the Demon Lord.
