Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studio Announce Original Anime Series: Suicide Squad ISEKAI

With a surprising revelation at Anime Expo, Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studio announced their plans for an original anime series titled "Suicide Squad ISEKAI." This new project brings famous DC characters into the world of anime. The series combines elements from DC Comics' Suicide Squad, including characters like Harley Quinn and the Joker, with the "Isekai" genre—a concept in anime where characters are transported, reborn, or trapped in a parallel universe or fantasy world.



The new series "Suicide Squad ISEKAI" appears to be an ambitious project, as indicated by Warner Bros.' description, which mentions that the DC characters will wreak havoc on the Isekai stage. It is suggested that the series will feature an epic and violent fantasy theme, with a lineup of renowned anime creators at the helm.

Eri Osada has been appointed as the director of the anime, produced by Wit Studio. The scripts for the series are penned by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara. Akira Amano, a well-known manga artist who also designed the announcement artwork of Harley Quinn, is responsible for the original character designs. The character designs are crafted by Naoto Hosoda. The music composition is assigned to Kenichiro Suehiro, while Shinya Tsuruoka serves as the animation producer for Warner Bros. Japan. Additionally, a trailer for the series has been released, offering further glimpses into what fans can expect from the new series.
