Waiting for the Magic: Updates on 'Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King' Anime Movie

The anime film 'Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King' is gearing up for release, adding a new chapter to the saga of Asta, the beloved protagonist. The recent unveiling of an English-subtitled trailer for the film offers international fans a tantalizing glimpse of what the movie has in store.



Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the film's production, the original premiere date of March 31 was postponed to June 16. However, this change appears to align with the film's debut on Netflix, allowing audiences worldwide to enjoy the spectacle simultaneously.

Yūki Tabata, the mastermind behind the original manga, serves as chief supervisor and original character designer for the film, ensuring an authentic and faithful adaptation. A novel adaptation of the film will also be released, available one week before the movie's premiere.

Those attending the film screenings can look forward to a special bonus—a "Volume 23.5" book containing character designs from the film, a short novel by film writer Johnny Onda, and an interview with the voice actors. This offer, however, is only available during the first week of the film's release and is limited in quantity, adding an exclusive element to the movie experience.

The film's cast features a mix of new and returning characters. Toshihiko Seki brings to life the character of Konrad Leto, a former Wizard King. Other intriguing characters include the original character Milly Maxwell, voiced by actress and model Marie Iitoyo, and Jester Galandros, a mysterious wizard connected to the former Wizard King, voiced by Fumiya Takahashi. Miyuki Sawashiro and Houchu Ohtsuka also join the cast as Princia and Edward, respectively.

The film's theme song, "Here I Stand," performed by Treasure, adds a musical touch to the enchanting cinematic journey.
