Watashi o Kabetai, Hito denashi – The Inedible, Unhuman: Emotional Posters and Plot

For the upcoming release of the anime series Watashi o Kabetai, Hito denashi (English: The Inedible, Unhuman), four emotional posters as well as a summary of the first episode have been released. The series is based on the manga by Sai Nawakawa.

The first episode titled Shinitagari no Kanojo wa Umi o Matsu (approximately: The Death-Wishing Girl Waits for the Sea) introduces the protagonist Yayoi Hinako, who leads an empty life. Her routine changes when she encounters a girl with piercing, sea-like eyes. Fascinated by this impression, Hinako cannot stop thinking about her even at school. On her way home, she is drawn by a sudden sea breeze and the presence of the girl and rushes, without changing her shoes, to the sea, where she sees a non-human figure emerge from the waves.

The plot of the series tells of the fateful relationship between humans and mystical beings. Hinako possesses flesh and blood that is irresistible to these beings. The encounter with the mermaid Shiori forms the starting point of the story.
