Weekly Shonen Jump will celebrate its 50 anniversary next year. This is the magazine of Shueisha and usually known as the male-targeting magazine. Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has serialized many popular and commercial successful manga series and also still serializing many manga series. Shueisha’s magazine is currently publishing some well-known manga series like My Hero Academia, Gintama, Haikyu!!, Food Wars!, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and Black Cover. There are also some very successful manga series serializing by Weekly Shonen Jump magazines like Shaman King, Naruto, Toriko, Assassination Classroom, Death Note, Bakuman, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Slam Dunk, Fist of the North Star, Dragon Ball, Kimagure Orange Road and much more.

Shueisha has revealed that they will celebrate the 50 anniversary of the magazine with the sequence of commemorative events. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine was firstly introduced in 1980. The company is planning to celebrate the 50 anniversary in Tokyo in July 2018. The exact location and timing will be revealed by the company through its official website.
