The episode begins with a confusing scene. Raeliana wakes up in pain in an unfamiliar room and finds Noah lying naked beside her. This triggers a panic attack in her, as she fears the two may have done something inappropriate while she was asleep.

The scene shifts to another character, Master Taylor, who orders Adam to bring Raeliana to him. Noah is surprised that he is awake and informs him that Count Westernberg has arrived. Noah abruptly cancels the meeting, however, and declares that Raeliana has been kidnapped, throwing the estate into chaos. He orders all knights to assemble and describes the kidnapper as a tall teenager with dark gray hair and red eyes, carrying a weapon.

Meanwhile, Raeliana is with Master Taylor, uncertain about her feelings and the situation, as he saved her life. She decides to freshen up and puts on a maid's uniform, finding some comfort in the normality of the act. She then decides to make a chocolate fondue for Master Taylor, hoping to lighten the tense atmosphere.

Back at the estate, the news that the Duke himself is searching for Raeliana comes as a surprise to everyone, including Count Westernberg. He decides to wait for the Duke in his study and tries to understand the dynamics of their relationship.

Disguised as a maid, Raeliana manages to slip past the estate's staff, who mistake her for a new hire for the upcoming ceremony. She returns with groceries for Master Taylor and reveals to him that she knows about the search party. Instead of turning herself in, however, she asks for some time alone.

In Noah’s study, Raeliana stumbles upon a book written in Cryptic, a language she surprisingly understands. This catches the attention of Count Keith Westernberg, who is impressed by her ability to read such a complex language. Their conversation is interrupted, however, by Noah’s sudden appearance.

Raeliana confronts Noah about the morning’s misunderstanding, to which he apologizes and clarifies that nothing happened between them.

At this point, the episode introduces Mary Wayne, a renowned seamstress who has crafted a dress for Raeliana’s engagement celebration. This leads Raeliana to question whether she should proceed with the engagement, especially since the threat from Brooks is no longer present.

Finally, Noah takes Raeliana to a fireworks display over the Shamcane River, where they discuss their contractual relationship. Noah asks Raeliana to stay by his side until she no longer needs him. When Raeliana asks him about love, he confesses that he has never been in love, as being a Duke comes with great risks.
