The romantic-comedic manga series „Android wa Keikenninsuu ni Hairimasu ka??“ (Does an Android Count as a Romantic Experience??) by Yakiniku Teishoku is receiving an anime adaptation. As announced today, it will be a short anime series scheduled to air in 2026. Alongside the announcement, a first key visual was released.
The story, originally serialized in the magazine Comic Yuri Hime (Ichijinsha), follows the protagonist Akane Tsuda. As a dedicated office worker, she lives for her job—until one day, out of a mix of loneliness and drunkenness, she purchases an android named Nadeko. What initially seems like an impulsive decision quickly develops into an unusual and turbulent relationship, oscillating between comedy and emotional self-discovery.
To celebrate the announcement, author Yakiniku Teishoku released a new illustration and a comment sharing his excitement for the project and asking fans for their support. The sixth compiled volume of the manga will be released on May 16.
