Wind Breaker - Episode 2

In Episode 2 of "Wind Breaker," Sakura starts his day by accidentally giving a piggyback ride to an elderly woman at Kotoha's restaurant. There, Kotoha prepares a sandwich for Sakura and playfully teases him, causing Sakura to blush. During this interaction, a new character, Nirei, with bright yellow hair and an awkward expression, enters the restaurant and trips. Nirei, a first-year student at Furin High School, expresses his admiration for the Furin students and asks Sakura about his reasons for moving to the city. Nirei jokes about Sakura's white hair, suggesting it might be due to stress, which annoys Sakura.

After Nirei leaves, Sakura vents to Kotoha about his frustration with Nirei's seemingly strong exterior but perceived inner weakness. Kotoha uses the transformation of a coffee fruit into a bean as an analogy to encourage Sakura to view people from different perspectives.

Later, while walking through the city, Sakura receives gifts from the locals as thanks for his help. He comes across a situation where Nirei is futilely trying to stand up to bullies harassing a girl. Sakura intervenes and defeats the bullies. Nirei, feeling inadequate, shares his past experiences with bullying and his admiration for a Furin student who once helped him.

The episode ends with Sakura and Nirei arriving on their first day at Furin High School. At first, they worry about their classmates, especially Suo, who unexpectedly welcomes them warmly, despite their expectations of aggression. However, the mood shifts when another student, Kyotaro, flips a desk, signaling his readiness for a confrontation, which piques Sakura's curiosity.
