Wind Breaker - Episode 3

In Episode 3 of "Wind Breaker," the story begins with a confrontation between Sakura and Sugishita, triggered by an alleged insult to Sugishita's revered leader, the head of Bofurin.

The dispute ends when Hajime Umemiya, a representative of Bofurin, intervenes and calls for peace and the protection of the community.

Suo mediates between Sakura and Sugishita, leading to a handshake and a mutual truce. Sakura is praised by her classmates for her fighting skills, strengthening her sense of belonging.

The narrative humorously introduces Nirei, who documents these interactions, particularly Hiragi's use of stomach medicine, adding a comedic layer to the episode. Nirei explains Bofurin's hierarchical structure to Sakura, describing the division led by Umemiya and the role of the four kings who oversee the different classes.

The class participates in a community service activity—painting over graffiti—which disappoints Sakura, as she had hoped for more exciting tasks.

The episode escalates when the class faces aggression from a neighboring group, the Shishitoren, leading to a brawl after a Bofurin member mistreats another student.

Jo Togame of the Shishitoren makes an impressive entrance, scolding his subordinate for their weakness and postponing the confrontation with Sakura to a later time. The episode ends with the Bofurin group, including Sakura, taking the injured student to Umemiya, who is unexpectedly seen growing vegetables on a rooftop—a stark contrast to his presumed role as the group's leader.
