Wistoria: Wand and Sword - Episode 9: "Practice Begins"

In Episode 9, the students' practical training begins—a rigorous dungeon expedition at the academy. The story follows Will and his team as they navigate the treacherous dungeon corridors, each facing their own challenges and limits. Will, desperate to prove himself, struggles to keep up with more experienced mages like Lihanna, Wignall, and Julius. His lack of mastery over "Search" magic, a crucial spell for detecting enemies, becomes a hindrance to his group.

Lihanna, an experienced close-combat mage from a renowned knightly family, leads the group with a clear goal: to slay the terrifying floor guardian, the luminous Naberus, worth 110 credits. Tensions arise among the members during the journey, particularly between Will and Wignall, an elf who remains distant and critical due to their many differences and his personal pride.

As they approach their target, the group discovers that the Naberus has already been defeated by an unknown force, throwing them into disarray. Suddenly, they are plunged into chaos and fall into the dangerous and unknown 11th floor, "The Maw of Nightmares." Here, they are separated and face stronger monsters and a race against time with limited resources.

Will and Wignall, separated from the others, must work together despite their differences to survive the harsh conditions of the new floor. The two find themselves in a tense stalemate, with Wignall battling his own insecurities and Will relying on his extensive past experiences in the dungeon.

Meanwhile, the situation in the dungeon escalates as a monster surge destroys the academy's base camp on the 8th floor, prompting the professors to abort the training and launch a rescue mission. As Will and Wignall continue their perilous journey, they must confront new dangers and test their resolve, knowing their survival depends on their ability to adapt and trust each other in this merciless environment.
