"Witch Watch": new voice actors and eccentric characters for anime series unveiled

Details about the cast for the student council members in the upcoming anime adaptation of Shinohara Kengo's manga Witch Watch have been released. Eight seasoned voice actors will portray the quirky characters, including Miyuki Sawashiro as vice student council president Ibui Ibara and Jun Fukuyama as fellow vice president Kenmochi Yuzuru.

The student council members, described in the anime as a "colorful bunch with stereotypically exaggerated traits," include:

- Rie Kugimiya and Misaki Kuno as the sisters Syrup and Kuromitsu (secretaries),

- Noriko Hidaka as auditor Takumi Riro,

as well as Kenta Miyake, Fukushima Jun, and Hikaru Midorikawa in other eccentric roles.

An accompanying trailer showcases the characters in action-packed scenes, highlighting the series' humorous and chaotic charm.

Witch Watch follows the story of the young witch Nico, who must complete her training in the human world. In the process, she moves in with her childhood friend Mamori, a student with demonic powers, leading to turbulent everyday adventures. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ since 2021, blending fantasy elements with comedy.

The anime adaptation will premiere in April 2024, promising a mix of supernatural slapstick and heartwarming character dynamics.
