"Yamato yo Towa ni" Chapter 6: New Trailer Shows Yamato in Modern Japan – "Galaxy" Launches

The official website for the "Space Battleship Yamato" remake has released a second teaser trailer for the sixth chapter titled "Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 Chapter 6: The Azure Labyrinth" (碧い迷宮). The film opens in Japanese theaters on June 26, 2026.

The sixth chapter is based on the 1980 third theatrical film "Yamato yo Towa ni" (Be Forever Yamato) and retells the story with new interpretive elements. The focus is on Ryusuke Domon, who arrives in present-day Japan and must fight the temptation to change the course of history. The trailer shows the Yamato, which has passed through a space-time junction point and appears in Tokyo in the year 2026. Additionally, the launch sequence of the spaceship "Galaxy," which was previously stranded on the lunar surface, is shown.
