"Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199" first chapter "Kuro no Shinryaku" main image and trailer released

The latest installment of the "Space Battleship Yamato" remake series, "Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199," has unveiled the key visual and official trailer for its first chapter, "Kuro no Shinryaku," ahead of its theatrical release on July 19.

The new trailer highlights the challenges awaiting protagonist Susumu Kodai and his beloved Yuki Mori. The key visual, illustrated by character designer Nobuteru Yuki, depicts Kodai and Yuki holding hands, symbolizing their bond amidst the trials.

"Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199" is a reimagining of the 1980 film "Be Forever Yamato," expanded into a series comprising seven chapters and 26 episodes. The story takes place two years after the destruction of the planets Gamilas and Iscandar, following the spaceship Yamato on its journey to confront the threat of the mysterious Great Rebirth, which holds the fate of humanity in its hands.
