"Yofukashi No Uta - Call of the Night" receives second season

The anime adaptation of Kotoyama's manga "Yofukashi no Uta – Call of the Night" will continue with a new season. Alongside the announcement of the continuation, first visual impressions, a teaser, and additional cast voices were revealed.

The published key visual features central characters such as Kou Yamori, the vampire Nazuna Nanakusa, and the mysterious detective Anko Uguisu together. Joining the voice cast is Rina Satou, who will now play the role of Kiku Hoshimi. This character is described as fascinating yet morally ambiguous, with Mahiru, a friend of the protagonist Kou, having fallen in love with her. Satou herself reflected on the complex traits of the character when taking on the role and expressed doubts about whether she would make similar choices in Kiku's situation.

Additionally, there are plans to re-air the first season of "Yofukashi no Uta" ahead of the new episodes.

The story of "Yofukashi no Uta" revolves around middle school student Kou Yamori, whose secret nightly walks lead him to an encounter with the vampire Nazuna. From this, an unusual love story between a human and a vampire unfolds. The first season originally aired in 2022.
