NHK has announced that the TV anime adaptation of the manga Yomawari Neko (Nightwatch Cat) by Kaoru Fukaya will air on their channel in March. The anime consists of 15 five-minute episodes, which will be broadcast in groups of five on March 14th, 20th, and 27th. The series stars Takayuki Yamada as Heizō Endō and Atsumi Tanezaki as Jūrō in the lead roles.

Kazuma Taketani will direct, Hiroko Kanasugi is in charge of the script, and Ken'ichi Maeyamada is composing the music. The animation production is handled by Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment. The opening theme will be a cover version of Kiyoshiro Imawano's Jump.
