The second cour of the anime sequel «Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers» (Japanese: «Yoroiden Samurai Troopers») has an official start date: On July 7, 2026, the second half of the season will air on TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS11. Simultaneously, it will be released for streaming on U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and d Anime Store. The production by Sunrise, directed by Yōichi Fujita (known for «Gintama») and with series composition by Shōgo Mutō, continues the story three months after the victory over the Demon Emperor Ramaga and Gai's departure. The Samurai Troopers venture into the demon world to once again face the Ten Warriors, but they encounter a new threat: the so-called Tendokai (Heavenly Guidance Dimension), led by Yashimanosagume (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto).

The main promotional video and a new key visual have been released. The image shows the four Troopers Kaito, Musashi, Yamato, and Shion in their armor, while Yashimanosagume watches them from the background – accompanied by the caption “Come back, hero.” The video also features the newly introduced characters of the Tendokai for the first time: Gomei (voiced by Tomoaki Maeno), Shimei (voiced by Aya Endō), and Gaimei (voiced by Hiroshi Shirakuma) – the three belong to the Four Beast Warriors serving Yashimanosagume. Already introduced in the first cour was the Tiger Warrior Inmei (Takehito Koyasu).

The voice actor comments highlight the tension: Tomoaki Maeno (Gomei) expresses his excitement about being part of such a traditional work and emphasizes that each character has their own goals and beliefs. Aya Endō (Shimei) describes her role as a woman carrying a snake around her body and explains that her side also has something to protect. Hiroshi Shirakuma (Gaimei) describes his character as someone who tries in vain to appear strong.

The music for the second cour has also been announced: The opener “BAD Idenshi” comes from the band Dannie May, while the ending song “Bakemon” is by the group Karanoa. Both artists comment on their pieces in the released statements – Dannie May compares the song to a “great generational conflict,” while Karanoa were guided by the question of how they themselves would act in the Samurai Troopers' place.

«Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers» is the direct sequel to the 1988–1989 series «Yoroiden Samurai Troopers» (also known as «Ronin Warriors» in the West). The first cour aired from January to March 2026 and ended with a surprising twist that paves the way for new conflicts. The second half promises to bring the story of the three worlds – the human world, the demon world, and the Tendokai – to a climax.
