This Tuesday, Yoshihiro Togashi revealed via his Twitter account that Hunter x Hunter will return from its current hiatus with four new chapters for now, although he did not specify when they will be released. Initially, users of the social bird network had doubts about the validity of this tweet until Yūsuke Murata (One Punch-Man) also confirmed via Twitter that the tweet came from Togashi himself.

Since he first tweeted yesterday, Togashi's account has already amassed over 1.6 million Twitter followers—with just two posted tweets. His first tweet currently has 1.2 million likes, more than the most-liked Japanese tweet of last year.

Yoshihiro Togashi launched the manga series Hunter x Hunter in 1998 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The series has been repeatedly interrupted and has been on hiatus since November 2018 due to the author's health issues. The manga has 36 compiled volumes and sold over 79 million copies as of November 2021.
