You Were Experienced, I Wasn't, And This is How We Started Dating Anime Set To Release In October; additional cast members, theme songs revealed

The anime adaptation of Makiko Nagaoka's light novel series "You Were Experienced, I Wasn't, And This is How We Started Dating" has revealed a slew of new information, including a promotional video, key visual, additional cast members, theme songs, and a planned premiere in October.



The opening theme, "Love You Tender!", is performed by Maaya Uchida, while the ending song, "Kakurenbo" (Hide-and-Seek), is by the rock band AliA.

Six new voice actors have joined the series: Aoi Koga, Ayaka Fukuhara, Tomori Kusunoki, Fukushi Ochiai, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and Tomoaki Maeno. KUN will play the role of KEN, a gaming streamer with an impressive fanbase of over one million subscribers.

The series primarily stars Natsuki Hanae as Ryūto Kashima and Saori Ōnishi as Runa Shirakawa.

The anime is directed by Hideaki Oba at ENGI, with Hiroko Fukuda handling the series composition. The animation character designs, based on the original illustrations by Magako, are by Yōsuke Itō. The music is composed by Kei Haneoka, with music production by Pony Canyon and sound direction by Takeshi Takadera.

The series tells the story of Ryūto Kashima, a socially awkward individual, and the school's popular girl, Runa Shirakawa. A twist of fate—Ryūto losing a game—leads him to ask Runa out on a date, and surprisingly, she agrees. Though they come from different social circles and have contrasting interests, spending time together helps them develop an appreciation and acceptance of their differences, strengthening their bond.
