The official website of "Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha" (The Dreaming Man is a Realist), an anime adaptation of the light novel series by Okemaru, released a new promotional video on Sunday. Along with the video, the announcement revealed additional staff members who will be joining the team for the upcoming anime series.

Some of the staff contributing to the project include prop designers Shigeyuki Koresawa and Tom from Digital Noise, art director Chikako Shibata from Studio Kanon, art setting by Michiru Odaka, color setting by Mayumi Tanahashi, special effects by Naomasa Fukuda, director of photography Satoshi Yamamoto, editor Mutsumi Takemiya, sound production by Dax Production, music by Ryōhei Sataka, and animation producer Tetsuya Tomioka.

The anime, set to premiere in summer, is directed by Kazuomi Koga and produced by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. Michiko Yokote is in charge of the series' scripts, while Masaru Koseki adapts the original character designs by Sabamizore for animation. Hajime Takakuwa serves as sound director, and Pony Canyon is handling music production.

The story follows Wataru Sajō, a high school student in love with his beautiful classmate Aika Natsukawa. Although Aika finds him annoying, Wataru dreams of their mutual love every day and grows closer to her. However, upon waking from his dream, he decides to distance himself from Aika to regain his sense of reality. This decision unexpectedly turns Aika's world upside down.
