The women reflect on their past lives and share insights into their personal histories. One of them, a former makeup artist, recounts her experiences during the outbreak of the zombie pandemic and draws a connection to a zombie movie Akira had seen earlier in the series.

The episode then shifts to a quieter scene in Akira's hometown, where an elderly woman, Tome, expresses her gratitude to Shizuka for her help in the village. However, the scene is abruptly interrupted when Hiko, who mistakes Shizuka for his wife, causes a commotion, prompting Tome to reveal Hiko's past as a prominent hunter in the village. The situation escalates when a wounded man begs Tome for help. Shizuka steps in with medical advice, showcasing her skills. The scene quickly spirals out of control as more injured people, including Hiko, plead for Shizuka's assistance.

Meanwhile, Kencho is introduced as he familiarizes himself with the village's infrastructure and meets Anju, a girl from the city, along with her dog Charo. Kencho shares his ambitions of becoming a comedian—a moment of lighthearted interaction amid the chaos.

The story then shifts to Beatrix, who gets caught up in a discussion about the village's waterwheel and sheds light on the technical aspects of the village's infrastructure.

Back with Akira's group, a sense of calm settles in as one of the women expresses how comfortable she feels in the village, appreciating its simplicity and hospitality. Kencho and Akira reunite, talk about their experiences, and reminisce about a mutual school friend, Higurashi.

Higurashi, now alone, reflects on his disdain for Akira and Kencho's presence and hints at his malicious intentions toward the village. As night falls, a touching moment unfolds between Akira and his father as they discuss dreams and hopes, contrasting the looming danger. The night's peace is shattered when Higurashi and his group release the zombies from captivity, disrupting the village's tranquility. Akira's father urges him to join his friends, assuring him that his mother is safe.

In a final confrontation, Higurashi and his accomplices confront Akira and his friends, revealing their role in the chaos.

Inspired by the events, Akira adds a new item to his list: repaying his parents for their support and love. Higurashi challenges Akira to a crazy contest where both must fulfill their bucket lists.

As the village faces the zombie threat, Shizuka focuses on evacuating the villagers while Beatrix plans to disable the electric fence's generator. Meanwhile, Kencho pursues Anju as she approaches the village, and Higurashi's companion targets Beatrix.

The episode ends with Higurashi's sinister plan to turn the entire village into zombies.
