Amid a dangerous confrontation, his ill father advises Akira to prioritize safety, reflecting the family's concern over limited medical resources.

Akira strategically feigns zombification to outwit Higurashi by utilizing the skills of a makeup artist. Through this ruse, the zombie threat is successfully neutralized. The defeated Higurashi yearns for simple joys like a swimming pool outing with friends, a desire stemming from past encounters with Akira. He throws himself into a zombie horde and accepts his fate after Akira promises to fulfill his wish in a post-zombie scenario.

Meanwhile, Akira's group, which includes Kencho and Shizuka, overcomes a series of challenges, including a broken suspension bridge, thanks to the timely intervention of Mr. Kumano with a replacement bridge.

The villagers, including Akira's family, gather to reinforce their defense against the zombies.

The finale ends with Akira and his friends setting off in their camper van toward Hokkaido.
