In Episode 3 of "Zom 100 - Zombie ni Naru made ni Shitai 100 no Koto," Akira reflects on his newfound freedom in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. He is relieved to have quit his job and can now grow a beard—something he couldn’t do while working. However, he is quickly reminded of the grim reality when he realizes the internet only works because fewer people are using it due to the zombie outbreak.

Meanwhile, Akira’s friend Kencho is trapped in a bondage room at a club called "Club Shou-Time" in Shinjuku, surrounded by zombies. He has been living off water for three days and is slowly losing his mind. Still, he is grateful he chose the bondage room, as it’s the only thing keeping the zombies at bay. As he contemplates his impending doom, he remembers his friend Akira, who always laughed at his jokes.

Suddenly, Kencho’s phone rings. It’s Akira, overjoyed to learn that Kencho is still alive. Despite Kencho’s warnings about the zombies in Shinjuku, Akira promises to come to his rescue. Kencho is moved by Akira’s determination and reveals that he was never satisfied with his successful career as a real estate agent. He confesses that he always wanted to be a stand-up comedian, a dream he never pursued.

Akira encourages Kencho to quit his job and chase his dream, even in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. This gives Kencho the courage to attempt an escape from the club by jumping to the next building. Despite his fear, Kencho takes the leap with Akira’s encouragement and manages to evade the zombies.

The episode ends with Akira and Kencho laughing and reminiscing about their college days. Both agree that quitting their jobs was the best decision of their lives. Akira even jokes that he might be the one to save everyone from the zombie infection, though the two just laugh it off.
