In Episode 6 of "Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead," Akira and Kencho discuss their water shortage and the increasing number of zombies in the city. They decide it's time to take the situation seriously and consider moving to a safer place with access to water and food. Akira expresses his desire to find a job he enjoys, despite the apocalypse. They decide to travel to Akira's hometown, Gunma, and consider using an RV for the journey.

At an RV exhibition, they meet Shizuka, who initially declines their offer to travel together but eventually agrees after realizing the benefits of joint travel. They choose an RV, but their excitement attracts zombies, forcing them to flee quickly.

Along the way, they discuss the possibility of developing a vaccine for the virus causing the zombie epidemic. They stop at a rest area to eat and rest, but their RV is sabotaged by a mine planted by Akira's former boss, Chief Kosugi. He then offers to help them if they work at his rest stop for two days. Reluctantly, they agree, and Akira and Kencho begin reinforcing barricades and loading cargo while Shizuka recovers from an injury.

Akira struggles with his old feelings of being controlled by his boss and tries to maintain a positive attitude by pouring a cold beer for everyone. However, Boss Kosugi berates him for wasting energy and compares him to a machine, just like the zombies they use as laborers. This encounter leaves Akira feeling defeated and doubting his self-worth.

The episode ends with a musical number expressing the desire to find happiness and enjoy life to the fullest, despite the challenges they face.
