During the "Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festa!" livestream, a series of announcements were made. One of them is the confirmation of a second season for the anime adaptation of "The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in a Different World as an Aristocrat." While the staff and other details have not yet been announced, Kadokawa has released comments from the director of the first season, Masafumi Tamura.

The series premiered in October 2021 and was directed by Masafumi Tamura, with Katsuhiko Takayama overseeing the series scripts. The character designs were created by Eri Nagata. The story revolves around a skilled assassin who is reincarnated in a different world and inherits a lineage of shadowy killers. Equipped with his modern knowledge and the magical techniques of this new realm, he has the potential to become the most fearsome assassin in history.

Rui Tsukiyo began publishing the story in July 2018 on the website "Shōsetsuka ni Narō." Kadokawa started releasing the series in print in February 2019 with illustrations by Reia. A manga adaptation was also published in January 2019 on Kadokawa's manga website Young Ace Up.
