The second season of the anime adaptation of "Skeleton Knight in Another World" (Japanese: "Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechū II") will premiere on July 4, 2026. The first episode will be broadcast as an advance screening at 8:30 PM (JST) on AT-X, as well as simultaneously on streaming services d Anime Store and ABEMA. Regular TV broadcasts begin on July 6 on AT-X and from July 9 on TOKYO MX and BS11. Subsequent episodes will be released every Monday at midnight from July 13 on d Anime Store and ABEMA.

Prior to the first broadcast, a live special titled "Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special 2026 Part 2" will take place on ABEMA on July 4. The main voice actors Tomoaki Maeno (Arc), Ai Fairouz (Arianne), Nene Hieda (Ponta), and Miyu Tomita (Chiyome) will discuss the new season. This special is part of a regular live series by publisher Overlap, which also publishes the original light novel series.

The story is based on the light novel series of the same name by Ennki Hakari, with illustrations by KeG, which has sold over 3.5 million copies (print and digital) in Japan. The first season aired in 2022 and was very popular. For the second season, Studio Aura takes over production, with Katsumi Ono returning as director. Series composition is by Toshizo Nemoto (known for "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime"), and character design is by Toru Imanishi. The opening theme is again performed by PelleK, while the ending theme is sung by DIALOGUE+. The expanded voice cast includes Toshihiko Seki, Kensho Ono, Hitomi Ueda, Junichi Suwabe, and many others.

Already released scene images from the first episode show, alongside familiar characters, a mysterious armor, an unknown animal, and an embarrassed moment for Arianne—harbingers of the new adventures of the skeleton knight and his companions. The first season is currently being rebroadcast on TOKYO MX, giving newcomers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the world before the start of the second season.
