Kenji Nakano

Description
Kenji Nakano is a Japanese voice actor, or seiyū, born on July 18, 1970, in Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima, Japan. His most documented role is as the voice of the Maximal Diver in the Transformers franchise.

Nakano provided the Japanese voice for Diver in the 1998 anime series Beast Wars II Chō Seitai Transformers, known in English as Beast Wars II: Super Lifeform Transformers. He reprised this role for the 1998 theatrical film Beast Wars Second: Lio Convoy Kiki Ippatsu! (Beast Wars II: Lio Convoy, Close Call!). Diver is characterized as a Maximal who transforms into a frog and is known for his relaxed, timid, and unmotivated personality, often being dragged into adventures by his more energetic friend, Tasmania Kid.

Beyond his work in the Transformers series, Kenji Nakano has contributed his voice to other notable anime. He is credited with the role of Imori in the 1999 version of Hunter x Hunter. He also had guest roles in the long-running supernatural series Natsume's Book of Friends, voicing a yōkai with a hammer in two episodes of its third season and a goggle-eyed yōkai in an episode of its fourth season.

Available information about Kenji Nakano focuses on these specific voice acting credits, and no recurring collaborations with particular directors or other voice actors are readily documented. His career is primarily represented by these roles from the late 1990s through the early 2010s.
