Takeshi Sagami
Description
Takeshi Sagami was a Japanese voice actor active from the 1960s through the early 1980s, a formative period for modern Japanese animation. He was born on March 24, 1931, in Tokyo, and is also known by the name Tarō Sagami. Sagami's career spanned numerous classic anime series, where he provided voices for a wide array of characters. One of his noted roles was as Brake in the television series Fight Da!! Pyuta. His other prominent voice work includes playing Brando in the original 1963 Astro Boy series, Franken in the second Kaibutsu-kun television series and its related movies, and Hyōroku in the 1965 Kimba the White Lion. He also contributed to other major productions of the era, with roles in Gatchaman, Hakushon Daimaō, Marine Boy, Lupin III: Part II, and Yatterman, among others. Takeshi Sagami passed away on March 30, 1981, leaving behind a body of work that contributed to the foundation of modern anime voice acting.
