Takemaru Sasaki is a manga artist and original creator known for the work Heli-Tako Puu-chan. Sasaki was born on May 23, 1966. Sasaki is the author and artist of the manga Heli-Tako Puu-chan, which was serialized in the shoujo magazine Ciao.

The manga served as the basis for the anime television series of the same name, Heli-Tako Puu-chan. The anime was directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto and produced by Toei Animation. It aired on TV Asahi from February 14, 1998, to February 6, 1999, for a total of 42 episodes. Each episode had a runtime of approximately three minutes, and the series was broadcast as a segment of the programming block Anime Shuukan DX! Mi-Pha-Pu.
