Hideaki Koyasu is a Japanese novelist and screenwriter born in 1978 in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the Faculty of Letters at Chiba University with a degree in history, a background that has occasionally informed his approach to storytelling. Koyasu is affiliated with the creative agency SATZ. His professional career spans multiple roles in the anime and publishing industries, where he is known for developing original light novel series and for contributing scripts to a wide range of anime adaptations.
Koyasu is best known as the original creator of the light novel series Lance N' Masques. The series, illustrated by Shino, began publication on December 3, 2013, under the PoniCan Books imprint of Pony Canyon.
