Graziella Porta is an Italian voice actress, known for her extensive work dubbing foreign productions into Italian, particularly anime and animated series. Born on October 16, 1943, in Viguzzolo, Piedmont, Italy, her career in the performing arts began long before she became a voice actress. She initially trained as a ballet dancer at the prestigious Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Following her dance training, she worked as an actress and soubrette in Italian theater, performing in operettas and cabaret, and collaborating with notable figures such as Roberto Benigni, Paolo Poli, and Paola Borboni. In 1980, Porta expanded her career to include dubbing, the process of providing voices for foreign-language films and series. Over the following decades, she became one of the most recognized voices in Italian animation dubbing, frequently lending her voice to characters in both Japanese anime and Western cartoons.

Her anime roles are numerous and span several decades. She is perhaps most widely known as the definitive Italian voice of Luna, the talking cat from the Sailor Moon series, a role she performed across multiple television series and films. She also provided the Italian voice for Mrs. Briefs, the mother of Bulma, in the various Dragon Ball series, including Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Among her other prominent anime roles are Madame Taki in Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch, Nega in Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel, and Mariko Jinnouchi in the film Summer Wars. She also voiced the character Kelly Stownar in the historical romance series Emma: A Victorian Romance, and Tetsuya's mother in the OVA Casshan: Robot Hunter.

In addition to her anime work, Porta is highly prolific in dubbing Western animation. She is the Italian voice of Mrs. Puff in SpongeBob SquarePants, Miss Valerie Frizzle in The Magic School Bus, and Granny Smith, Mayor Mare, and other characters in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She has also voiced Piggy in Muppet Babies, Wilma Flintstone in The Flintstones, and Babs Bunny in Tiny Toon Adventures. She also voiced the character Mrs. Paperazzi in the series Calimero.

Throughout her career, Porta has often been typecast in maternal, elderly, or comedic animal roles, a testament to her distinctive and versatile vocal quality. Her work is characterized by a long-standing presence in the Italian dubbing industry, making her a familiar voice to generations of Italian viewers of animated content.
