Description
Yasuhiro Yoshiura is a Japanese creator primarily known for his work as a director and writer of animated films, who also occasionally provides voice acting for characters in his own productions. Born on April 3, 1980, in Hokkaido, he studied at the Kyushu University Faculty of Design, graduating in 2003. He founded the animation studio Studio Rikka, under which he creates most of his works.

His voice acting roles are a recurring but secondary aspect of his filmmaking career, where he typically lends his voice to minor characters. His credited roles include the Messenger in his 2001 short film Kikumana and a Coworker in his 2005 work Pale Cocoon. He is most directly cited for his voice role in the 2002 short film Aquatic Language, for which he also served as writer and director. In Aquatic Language, a nine-minute science fiction piece set in a café, Yoshiura voiced the character known as Dame Otoko, which translates to Useless Man. The film itself was recognized with an Excellent Work Award at the Tokyo International Anime Fair in 2003.
