Saizō Harawata
Description
Saizō Harawata is a Japanese manga writer and original creator known for developing several notable series across different publishers. Harawata first launched the property Battle Game in 5 Seconds as a webcomic, which was later serialized as a full manga series illustrated by Kashiwa Miyako. This original story began publication in Shogakukan’s MangaONE app and Ura Sunday website in August 2015 and has since been compiled into numerous tankōbon volumes. The series gained wider recognition when it was adapted into a television anime that aired from July to September 2021, produced by SynergySP and Vega Entertainment.
Harawata is also credited as the story writer for the manga Kingdom of Z, which was illustrated by Ron Watanuki. This series was published by Kodansha on the Comic Days platform, running from November 2018 to October 2021 and collected into six volumes.
Another ongoing manga series written by Harawata is Reincarnation Coliseum, illustrated by Zunta, which began serialization in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine in August 2022. The series is licensed for English publication by Yen Press.
Across these works, Harawata consistently serves as the original creator or writer, collaborating with different illustrators rather than providing the artwork personally. These series primarily fall within action-oriented genres, often incorporating supernatural battles, strategic combat, or survival scenarios.
