Dia Frampton is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who has also performed voice work for an animated series. She is widely known for her music career, particularly as the runner-up on the first season of the NBC singing competition The Voice in 2011. In anime, she provided the English voice for the character Ishikawa in the 2021 Netflix original anime series Yasuke. The series is set in an alternate fantastical version of feudal Japan, was produced by the animation studio MAPPA, and directed by LeSean Thomas. Frampton's involvement placed her among a cast that includes LaKeith Stanfield in the title role and other actors such as Ming-Na Wen and Darren Criss. Frampton is of Asian descent, specifically Korean. Beyond this voice role, her acting work has primarily been in live-action, including appearances in the television series Criminal Minds and The Rookie, as well as roles in various television films. Her career continues to be centered on music, where she performs both as a solo artist and as part of the duo Meg and Dia with her sister.
