Hidetaka Tenjin is a Japanese creative professional born on October 13, 1973 in Hyogo Prefecture who maintains a dual career as a mecha illustrator, designer, and voice actor. After graduating from the Shibaura Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical control systems, he began freelance work as a CG illustrator and later established his own studio. While he is internationally renowned for his mechanical illustrations for franchises such as Macross, Gundam, and Star Wars model kits, he has also maintained an active career as a voice actor since making his debut in 2003.

In the field of voice acting, Tenjin has provided Japanese dubbing for numerous Western productions and has performed roles across anime, video games, and narration projects. His early voice work includes the role of Dark 02 in the 2003 series ZENTRIX. He played the role of Goreinu in the 2013 adaptation of Hunter x Hunter. In the Garo franchise, Tenjin voiced multiple characters: he served as the Narrator and played Rafael Banderas in Garo the Animation in 2014, portrayed Abe no Seimei in Garo: Crimson Moon in 2015, played Michinoba in Garo: Vanishing Line in 2018, and provided narration for the theatrical film Gekijouban Garo: Usuzumizakura in 2018. Tenjin performed the role of Mathias Echeverria in the 2017 series Knight's & Magic. He has also appeared as a company president in Jujutsu Kaisen as well as in the web anime Bakugan: Evolutions, and played Tenjin in Dorohedoro and Lu Bu Fengxian in The God of High School. In the video game Super Robot Wars T, he voiced Amasaki Hiroshi and the narrator in 2019. As indicated in the request, he plays the role of Yamada Country Club (and DJ TJ) in the 2025 series Bullet/Bullet.

He has also contributed significantly to the Star Wars franchise as the Japanese dub voice for Ryder Azadi in Star Wars: Rebels, later reprising the role when the character appeared in the live-action series Ahsoka. Beyond animation, his dubbing work for live-action foreign films includes Japanese language versions of productions such as Any Given Sunday, Erin Brockovich, Gladiator, and Malcolm in the Middle, as well as the Japanese broadcast of Gotham.

Tenjin has received recognition for his broader contributions to the animation industry, winning the Inkpot Award from Comic-Con International in 2022. He is professionally represented by the talent agency Kaleidoscope.
