James C. Mathis III is an American voice actor born on November 28, 1974, in Brooklyn, New York. He has built a extensive career in animation and video games, becoming particularly well-known for his work in English dubs of anime series and for portraying superheroes in various Marvel productions. His voice acting career began in the early 2000s with his role as Sigint in the video game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Mathis has provided the English voice for several prominent characters in anime. In the Netflix original net animation Baki, he voices Biscuit Oliva, a massively powerful and intelligent inmate known as "Mr. Unchained" who is considered the strongest man in the United States within the series. He also voiced the character Ibuki in the second season of the Netflix dub of BEASTARS; Ibuki is a shrewd and loyal member of the Shishigumi, a group of lion gangsters. In the animated film Poupelle of Chimney Town, Mathis lent his voice to the character Dan in the English dub. His anime and animation work also extends to the Marvel anime production Iron Man: Rise of Technovore, a 2013 direct-to-DVD film, where he voiced War Machine, the alter ego of James Rupert "Rhodey" Rhodes.
