Akari Nibu

Description
Akari Nibu is a Japanese voice actress and singer, born on February 15, 2001. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a member of the idol group Hinatazaka46 (formerly known as Hiragana Keyakizaka46), joining as a second-generation member in August 2017. Her voice acting career commenced alongside her idol activities, with early work including a role in the 2020 animated miniseries Pickles the Frog - Color of Feelings. Nibu made her feature film voice acting debut in the 2022 animated film DEEMO Memorial Keys, where she played the role of The Masked Lady. This performance placed her alongside established voice actors such as Ayana Taketatsu and Akari Kito. Her work in the film was noted by co-star Ayana Taketatsu, who remarked that Nibu's performance did not feel like that of a first-time voice actor. Nibu herself has cited her role as an aspiring voice actress in the 2021 drama Koeharu! as an influence on her approach to voice acting. Another significant voice acting credit includes the main role of Mami in the animated short series Minna no Mameo, which aired from 2022 to 2023. For this project, she also contributed the original concept for the series. In addition to her voice work in animation, Nibu has performed as a stage actress, appearing in theatrical productions such as Magia Record in 2018. Beyond her acting and voice acting career, she is also recognized as a television presenter and radio personality.
