Takayuki Asai

Takayuki Asai is a Japanese actor and voice actor, or seiyuu, born on January 21, 1987, in Kagoshima Prefecture. He is affiliated with the Sunflower Theatre Company.
Asai has built a career with roles in both anime television series and video games. One of his earliest anime roles was providing the voice for Tsutomu Domon in the 2005 series Aquarion. He later reprised this role for the 2015 series Aquarion Logos. In 2020, he voiced the character Wedge in the critically acclaimed video game Final Fantasy VII Remake.
A more recent and prominent role is his portrayal of Kuri-Manjū in the popular anime series Chiikawa, which began airing in 2022. The character is known for his taciturn personality and his frequent appearances enjoying food and drink, a role that was officially announced alongside other new cast members for the series. His other television credits include a role as Customer Complaint A in the 2023 series The Gene of AI and voicing Takaaki Doi in the 2025 series The Dinner Table Detective.
