René Sagastume is a Mexican-born actor and director of dubbing, based in Argentina, with a career spanning several decades. He began his work in dubbing in Mexico City in 1982, where he was directed by prominent figures in the industry. In 1994, he relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and after a brief hiatus, his dubbing career resumed and significantly expanded starting in 2003. His voice is heard not only in animated series and films but also in documentaries, infomercials, cinematic trailers, and as a voice for television networks like ESPN3. In addition to his work as an actor, Sagastume has also taken on roles as a director of dubbing, particularly for video game localizations.

In the realm of anime and animated features, Sagastume has voiced a variety of characters. He is known for his role as Daisuke Jigen in the Latin American Spanish dubs of Lupin the Third Part 6 and the crossover film Lupin III vs. Cat's Eye. His other notable anime credits include General Below in First Squad - The Moment Of Truth, Wadatsumi in Legend of the Millennium Dragon, and King Cold in the Argentinian dub of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. He has also voiced characters in long-running series, such as Dark Oak in the later episodes of Sonic X, and has taken on roles in the anime adaptations of Western properties, including Omega Red and Shingen Yashida in Wolverine.
