Mayumi Seto
Description
Mayumi Seto is a Japanese voice actor known for her work in anime and original video animations from the late 1980s through the 1990s. She was active during a period that saw the rise of many home video releases and popular television series. One of her credited roles is Mana in the 1993 video game and OAV Super Real Mahjong PIV, part of the Super Real Mahjong series.
Seto's career included a range of supporting and guest characters across numerous prominent productions. In television anime, she provided voices for several long-running series. She was the first voice of Taeko Sakurai in Kiteretsu Daihyakka and played multiple roles in Sailor Moon, including Yumiko and various schoolgirls and women. Her other television credits include a recurring role as Rumiko and a one-time role as a girl cow in Kingyo Chūihō!, as well as voicing female students in Daddy Long-Legs. She also voiced Junko Nakaya in the series Dear Brother.
In addition to her television work, Seto was featured in several original video animations and films. Her OAV credits include a young Parn in Record of Lodoss War, a schoolgirl in 3x3 Eyes, a Micro Transformer in Transformers: Zone, and roles in the sports anime Slow Step. She also had parts in theatrical films such as Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken Tachiagare!! Aban no Shito, Kennosuke-sama, and the Dragon Ball Z movie Super Android 13!. Later in her career, her involvement in the anime industry shifted to production roles, serving as a production advancement staff member on series like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Sōten Kōro, and Wangan Midnight.
