Hajime Anzai
Description
Hajime Anzai is a Japanese illustrator, art director, and television personality who has also performed voice acting and narration work. Born in Tokyo in 1953, he graduated from the Kuwasawa Design School and began his career in design, working for a record company before becoming a freelancer in 1982. His creative work spans a wide range of fields, including character design for JAL campaigns and Meiji Seika's Choco Baby, CD jacket artwork for musicians such as Dreams Come True, and the illustration of the picture book Wasimo, which he created with screenwriter Kankurō Kudō.
In the context of anime, Anzai is most notably involved with the series Wasimo. He is credited as the original illustrator for the picture book on which the television anime shorts are based. Beyond his role as a creator, he also contributed his voice to the anime, performing a voice acting role in the series.
