Kenta Tanaka is a Japanese actor and voice actor affiliated with the talent agency Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, commonly known as Haikyo. He was born on August 24 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. His path to a career in voice acting began in 2001 when he enrolled in the Nagoya Actors School. He subsequently joined the剧团青年座附属演员培养所, the training school affiliated with the theatrical company Gekidan Seinenza, in 2004. His professional affiliation with Haikyo began in 2006.

Tanaka's debut in anime was a minor role, voicing a villager in the 2014 series Space Dandy. That same year, he also contributed his voice to the animated film K: Missing Kings. In the years following his debut, he built a portfolio of supporting roles in various anime television series, with credits including The Ancient Magus' Bride in 2017 and Hugtto! Pretty Cure in 2018.

He is known for two notable roles in long-running and popular franchises. In the 2019 series Star Twinkle Precure, part of the wider Pretty Cure franchise, he provided the voice for the character Notrei. He also voices the character Sumiharu Inukai in the anime adaptation of the manga World Trigger. His involvement with the World Trigger series extended beyond the recording booth, as he served as the master of ceremonies for promotional live-streaming events related to the show's second and third seasons. This participation in promotional activities highlights his engagement with the wider anime community surrounding his projects.
