Kota Nozomi is a Japanese writer, primarily known as the author of light novel series and the original creator behind several manga adaptations. Born in 1989 in Fukushima Prefecture, Nozomi began his professional writing career while still a student at Yokohama National University. He debuted in August 2011 with the novel I Can't Notice, which followed his success in two major contests: winning the 5th Novel Japan Gold Prize in February 2011 and the 3rd GA Bunko Award of Excellence in April 2011.
Nozomi is best known for creating the light novel series When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace, which ran from 2012 to 2018 and was adapted into an anime television series in 2014, as well as a manga.
