Akane Yabushima is a Japanese voice actor and singer affiliated with the agency I'm Enterprise. She was born on July 18, 2001, in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her interest in a voice acting career began in middle school after watching the anime Fate/stay night and becoming a fan of the voice actor Maaya Sakamoto. She enrolled in the Japan Narration Acting Institute during her third year of middle school and, after graduating from the training school in 2020, joined I'm Enterprise.

Yabushima's early career consisted of minor roles in television anime. Her debut role was as a villager in the 2020 anime Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM. She subsequently had small parts as a villager in Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- 2nd Season in 2021 and as a senior student in Akebi's Sailor Uniform in 2022. She also voiced the character Himekawa Yumi in the drama CD series Fairy-AID starting in 2021.

Yabushima's career-defining role came in 2022 when she was cast as Mei Yoneme, a second-generation member of the main idol group Liella! in the multimedia franchise Love Live! Superstar!!. The announcement was made on May 12, 2022, and she began voicing the character in the anime's second season, which aired in July of the same year. This marked her first major leading role. She has continued to voice Mei Yoneme in subsequent seasons and related projects, including the Love Live! School Idol Festival games. Yabushima had been a fan of the Love Live! series since middle school, particularly of the group μ's, making her involvement in the franchise a significant personal milestone. Her other voice work in games includes a role as Caimon in Brown Dust in 2022.

In addition to her anime and game work, Yabushima hosts her own radio program titled Yabushima Akane no Tsuyoku Naru Radio. Her hobbies include basketball, a sport she played in middle school, and singing. She also has a proficiency in rifle shooting. She is known for her love of exploring places to eat and collecting cosmetics. Yabushima has a younger brother and is known to have a close relationship with her family. Her tenure with the Love Live! franchise has led to recurring collaborations with the series' production staff, including writer Jukki Hanada and composer Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
